Structure Modelling of Threaded Machine Parts for Calculations Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Original language description
For modelling of threaded machine parts for finite element analysis (FEA) two different structures are usually applied. The first option may be threaded structure symmetrical about one centre-line, which has an advantage of simple modelling or programming. The second, more authentic one, enables us to gain more precise results. However, modelling or programming procedures are not so easy matter. This article compares computed results of loaded threaded bolt shank using FEA for both options in question,as for stresses, deformations and rigidities is concerned.
