Original language description
Stress relaxation is one of the most important effects of viscoelastic character of plastics. Usually is stress relaxation negative property and endeavour is to minimalize this effect mainly in parts (plastic screws, plastic springs etc.) where stress relaxation deteriorates usable plastic parts properties. One of possible way is to choose right material which is not too sensitive to stress relaxation. Second way is to influence stress relaxation behaviour with setting right technological parameters. Inthis paper is solved holding pressure influence on stress relaxation in POM and PP injection molded parts. As is from experimental work evident is possible to influence stress relaxation in molded parts with increasing holding pressure and thereby decrease percentual rate of stress which is relaxing.
