Original language description
By help of right mold cavity pressurize is possible to gain better mechanical and surface properties of injection molded parts. One of the properties which is also possible to improve by pressure in mold cavity is stress relaxation behavior of injectionmolded parts. Air pressure which is acting to melt flow front in injection phase causes partial substitution of conventional holding phase but mainly causes higher part volume which is affected by holding phase. Because holding phase has influence on injection molded parts stress relaxation behavior is supposed some influence in case of air over-pressured mold cavity.
