Air overpressured mold cavity influence on injection molded parts from polyoxymethylene.
Original language description
Injection molding process is optimized from many points of view. Some are focused only to final plastic part properties (mechanical, electrical, optical etc.) others to cycle time shortening or warpage lowering. Goal of this paper is to introduce new wayhow could by possible to short cycle time and improve plastic part properties at once. Air over pressured injection mold cavity is that modification of conventional injection molding process. Basic idea is conventional hold phase substitution by air pressure in mold cavity from injection phase beginning and by it to significantly short cycle time while mechanical properties and surface quality are at least retained.
