Comparison of weld strength made by with the pneumatically ultrasonic welder and the welder with servo drive

  • Original language description

Ultrasonic welding is today most widely used method of jointing of plastics parts. Servo-systems in ultrasonic machines are absolute innovation compared to using of pneumatic systems. Servomotor with position scan and velocity scan ensures optimum setting of axial force during weld process by feeding velocity of ultrasonic tool. In this contribution is comparing of welds strength (maximal force) for constant dimensions of energy director produced by the pneumatically ultrasonic welder and the welder with servo drive. For comparisons were used constant velocities of feeds of ultrasonic tool.
