Influence of Setting of Non-Linear Ultrasonic Tool Feed on Weld Strength of Parts from Polypropylene
Original language description
Ultrasonic welding is today most widely used method of jointing of plastics parts. Servo-systems in ultrasonic machines are absolute innovation compared to using of pneumatic systems. Servomotor with position scan and velocity scan ensures optimum (not linear) setting of axial force during weld process by feeding velocity of ultrasonic tool. Welds created by this technology have better mechanical properties than welds produced with standard pneumatic system. In this contribution is evaluated influence of setting of tool velocity on weld strength for constant dimensions of energy director.
