In a case when there is required a linking of two or more plastics parts is more often used the technology of ultrasonic welding. This method is especially suitable for its high productivity, flexibility and among others also repeatability of process. The weld quality is influenced by many factors like types of welded materials, construction details or technological parameters of welding process. This article is aimed on very important technological parameter ? holding pressure. On the base of experimental measuring was evaluated the influence of holding pressure size and duration on the weld quality. The weld quality was characterized by the weld strength and precision of dimensions. Measuring was realized on material Bayblend T65 (PC/ABS).
