Optimization of Semi-active Seat Suspension with MR Damper
Original language description
The paper deals with modelling, control and optimization of semiactive seat suspension with pneumatic spring and magnetorheological damper. The main fo-cus is on isolating vertical excitation from the cabin of a bucket-wheel excavator in order to protectthe excavator driver against harmful vibration. Three different control algorithms are used to determine the desired semi-active damping force: skyhook control, balance control and combination of balance and skyhook con-trols. The dynamic behaviour of the semi-active system is optimized using genetic algorithms. As the objective function the effective value of the seat (sprung mass) acceleration is used.
