Original language description
This paper deals with the application of robots for assembly. It summarizes the benefits of robotic assembly robots for application in many industries. Secondly, this paper demonstrates the disadvantages of robots used in practice. Furthermore, this paper focuses on the economic benefits of robots deployment in industrial environments. These benefits are characterized by indicators such as the quality, the labour productivity and the production flexibility. This paper also focuses on the effects of robotics in the social, the economic and the technical areas. On top of that, this article contains a control program for the robot Stäubli when mounting pin into the hole. This program allows the user to set pin and hole misalignment. The program is writtenin the programming language VALII. The program is also provided with explanations of each line.
