Calibration of levels and autocollimators in the Czech Metrology Institute
Original language description
The degree to which something is level, is one of the most commonly needed measurements. One of the most accurate instruments, with which to measure level and/or the plane angle, is the autocollimator. Within the environment of industrial production, there is a high demand for ways which will improve the accuracy of measured angles. This article deals with current and new methods of calibration of spirit levels and autocollimators at the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI). These methods are briefly described, and the uncertainty of their accuracies compared.
