TEST STATION FOR GASEOUS FUEL INJECTORS OF SI ENGINES
Original language description
This paper discusses the design and construction of a test station for gaseous fuel injectors. The proposed station is used to monitor a very important parameter tightness or leakage in the closed state of the injector. A leak valve can significantly affect the combustion process and fuel penetration into undesirable locations (intake and exhaust pipes) and the fuel may explode. It is therefore necessary to monitor this situation and if it is needed, by design changes of injectors to affect amount of leaked fuel. The station is due to its design enables measurement of leakage in both injector idle and the injector during the work cycle. The original method, which we had used, allowed us this measurement in a very limited way.
