Notch toughness of thin UHSS steel sheets.
Original language description
Charpy impact test is one of the most used method for testing notch toughness and fracture behaviors because of the simplicity and other advantages [1]. This article deals with testing of notch toughness for automotive steel sheets. The method includes joining of steel sheets to one compact unit. Two materials were used for experiments, DP1000 and 1400M with 1,8 mm thickness and two joining techniques: bonding with adhesives and joining with holders. Effect of joining technology and thickness of sampleson the toughness values was investigated by the room temperature.
