This paper is focused on connection between methods of Lean Production and methods of TRIZ ?Theory of Inventive Problem Solving?. Companies usually use the traditional Japanese methods of Lean Production or Toyota Production System (TPS) for design and optimalizati-on of manufacturing and non-manufacturing processes. The lean methods are very useful, however sometimes they are not enough and we need a more creative or inventive solution. TRIZ is a powerful problem-solving toolkit, which can be effectively used as a lean tool to support almost all lean principles. This paper provides a short introduction to the Lean and TRIZ and above all introduces a list of TRIZ tools which can support traditional lean tools
