The objective of this paper is the prediction of the surface temperature at a window with a prescribed heat flux, and how it affect the thermal comfort conditions in the space. The negative heat flux here represents the heat loss through a window. The temperature distribution at the window surface is a result of the interaction between a hot air jet and the cooled window surface. The temperature field at the window was determined by measurements using an infrared camera. The measurements were compared with CFD results. The k-epsilon RNG and k-omega turbulence modes were used for CFD simulation to classify the sensitivity of the temperature distribution on the turbulence model and the heat loss magnitude. Two directions and velocities of the hot air flux are compared. The calculation based on the k-omega turbulence model provided constant temperature distribution for wide range of heat fluxes. Results of the k-epsilon RNG model revealed the amount of influence of the intensity of the hot air jet.
