Mixed-hybrid FEM Discrete Fracture Network Model of the Fracture Flow
Result description
A stochastic discrete fracture network model of Darcy's underground water flow in disrupted rock massifs is introduced. Mixed finite element method and hybridization of appropriate lowest order Raviart--Thomas approximation is used for the special conditions of the flow through connected system of 2-D polygons placed in 3-D. Model problem is tested.
