Electric Field on Domain Boundaries of Ferroelectrics
Original language description
The parameters of ferroelectric's thin layers are closely related to properties of materials from which they are made. Electric field has large influence on important properties of discused materials. The experimental testing of parameters is not very often possible and analytic solution is able only for very simple structures - the way is numerical modelling (FEM). The paper describes an application of the finite element method in modelling of electric field in ferroelectric layers. It contains derivation of the numerical model of the problem, based on the physical description of electric field in anizotropic materials. Solving of this problem leads to the set of linear equations with large and sparse matrices. Model was used for computing of electricfield in nearness of domain boundary of thin ferroelectric layer. Most important material parameter for electric field distribution is electric permitivity. Influence of this parameter is discused.
