New laboratory facilities for education of modern drives and servo systems
Original language description
Modern production machines are typical mechatronic systems ? mutual interconnection and interaction of mechanical parts, actuators, sensors and control system. It is necessary for Mechatronics curriculum students to meet these systems during university studies. Excursions to the modern production plants can be assumed as the first step. Mainly the automation and robotics utilisation is very impressive and motivational for students. Educational contribution is weak because students do not have a chance to experience the whole matter of design and realisation of such mechatronic system. That is why to bring students face to face with this field. Physical models of real electric machines and mechanisms are good means for this. Author sets himself a task to introduce the readers with those models and to show possibilities of its utilisation in education process.
