Energy Harvesting and Vibration Control Devices with Enhanced Efficiency
Original language description
Energy harvesting devices and semi-active vibration control devices based on the principle of Piezoelectric Shunt Damping (PSD) represent two similar application groups of piezoelectric actuators. Although they are designed for a different purpose, theyhave the same system topology (see Figs. below) and they differ only in the direction of the electric energy flow. This paper discusses principles that can be used to enhance their efficiency.
