Some Problems in Measurement of UV Protective Textiles
Original language description
Is well known that UV part of sunlight may damage of human skin. UV protective textiles are ones of part of possibilities how we can protect our skin. When we test UV protective abilities, we must keep in our mind, that measurement should include some factors, which can effect on measured data and results. For example UV light go trough the textile as regular transmission and diffuse transmission, that means we should measure both of this parts. Also is important spectral distribution of test light. Asyet is used combination of deuterium tube and tungsten bulb, but spectral distribution of this combined light is different than sunlight. Our study shows influence of different spectral distribution of light on UPF value. Also will described a new devi ce with calibrated light source and it is using for measurement of UV protective abilities of textiles.
