Influence of yarn geometry on weaves porosity

Original language description

Simulation of the woven fabric porosity requires a complex view of the whole structure (fibres, yarn, fabric, finishing). In this point of view the yarn diameter is one of the most important geometric characteristic. Using yarn diameter calculated from compression theory was sufficient for 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional geometrical models of porosity. This study was carried out for woven fabrics (shirting, cotton type).
