Prediction of Woven Fabric Permeability Basic on Geometrical Model of Porosity
Original language description
Simulation of the woven fabric porosity requires a complex view of the whole structure (fibres, yarn, fabric, finishing). In this point of view the yarn diameter is one of the most important geometric characteristic. Using yarn diameter calculated from compression theory was sufficient for classical 2-dimensional and modified 2-dimensional geometrical models of porosity. Air permeability of woven fabric is property closely connected with porosity. But in this case is insufficient determination of pore sizes. Great importance has determination of pore types according to binding type of woven fabric and their arrangement one another. This study was carried out for woven fabrics (shirting, cotton type).
