    Yarn hairiness plays a significant role on various properties of textile materials. But this phenomenon in not yet sufficiently known and exactly described. An attempt has been made to develop an original theoretical model on yarn hairiness [2-6] in theDepartment of Textile Structures of Technical University of Liberec. This model discusses yarn hairiness in a completely new manner and it finds a new approach to determine yarn hairiness.
