Original language description
An attempt has been made to investigate a suitable method of blending on Uster MDTA 3. A binary blend of colored cotton and non-colored viscose fibers is taken in a 50:50 proportion. The MDTA 3 slivers are produced according to the proposed blending methods. The number of colored particles and the aerial distribution of colored fiber particles in the cross sectional area of sliver has been evaluated by an image processing software (Optimas 6.2). The results are analyzed statistically. The effect of number of passages on blending has also been investigated.
