In the paper, a new computer controlled instrument Ptest,which simulate thermal and moisture behaviour of human skin is described. By means of this instrument, water vapour resistance and thermal resistance of textile fabrics can be determined. The advantages of this portable instrument involve very fast measurement, simple operation and economical design.
