Original language description
An important part of the weaving cycle is the phase of the beating-up. During it the fabric is created up to the own woven structure. The fabric forming process generally means the pushing of the inserted weft into the cloth fell and its fixing on the reThe cloth fell affects on the reed during the beat-up process and it influences the beat-up mechanisms behaviour. The main topic of this paper is the description of a method for measurements of the beat-up force, which are realised on a Picanol Gamma rapof the TU-Liberec. This paper includes a theoretical part and a experimental part. Theoretical part deals with the description of the beat-up process and we define a equation for the beat-up force and the weaving resistance here. The experimantal parts dthe measuring device and the measuring method. The results of the measurement are represented graphically in the conclusion part of this paper.
