Spun yarn does not utilize strength of all fibers in the yarn cross-section well, at yarn break some share of fibers stays unbroken. Nevertheless the same yarn in woven fabric is able to utilize strength of the fibers better, because due to mutualgrip ofyarns arises additional places of contact, increases normal forces between fibers and frictional forces become greater. This phenomenon is substantively influenced by fabric deformation, mainly fabric shear leads to increase of frictionalforces betweenfibers. It should be incorporated in the algorithms of model strength calculation

Czech description
Příze není schopna využít dokonale pevnost vláken ve svém průřezu, při jejím přetrhu zůstane jistý podíl vláken nepřetržen. Tatáž příze ve tkanině může ale využít pevnost vláken lépe, neboť díky vzájemnému sevření provázaných přízívznikají další místa kontaktů mezi vlákny a zvětšuje se normálové kontaktní napětí. Tento mechanismus ovlivňuje deformační vlastnosti tkanin především při smykovém namáhání a jen vhodné ho začlenit do algoritmu výpočtu pevnosti.
