PEO was one of a few water-soluble polymers, which was continually electrospun by the new electrospinning technology NanospiderTM.Conditions for cross-linking the poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) nanofibers with different UV initiators were tested. Mechanism of PEO crosslinking is based on the transfer of UV initiated radical on the polymer chain. Optimal concentration of UV initiators, time of UV exposition and distance between UV source and nanofiber sheets were defined. Solvent effect on the electrospun fiber forming was examined.

PEO byl jako jeden z vodorozpustných polymerů zvlákněn technologií NanospiderTM. Byly testovány podmínky pro zesíťování pomocí různých UV iniciátorů. Byt sledován vliv rozpouštědel jejich směsí na elektrostatické zvlákňování.
