The main attempt of this paper is justifying of geometrical restrictions in compact structure of fabric under extension in principal directions by applying the Peirce?s geometrical model include of inextensible and incompressible circular cross section yarns. Then the proposed model is extended to the compressible and extensible yarns by using modification indexes. Change in internal structure of fabric is formulated during deformation in warp or weft direction. Finally, deformation of two series of cotton fabric is studied by applying image processing method and existence of limit sett of yarn in warp or weft is surveyed and compared with theoretical value.

Hlavním cílem tohoto příspěvku je ověření empirického faktu, že zvýšení dostavy tkaniny v jednom směru o určitou hodnotu způsobí snížení pevnosti v tahu tkaniny v opačném směru pomocí aplikace Piercova geometrického modelu zahrnujícího neroztažitelné a nestlačitelné kruhové průřezy příze. Navržený model je pak rozšířen na stlačitelné a roztažitelné příze pomocí modifikace indexů. Během deformace jsou formulovány změny ve vnitřní struktuře tkaniny ve směru osnovy a útku. Pro predikci limitní dostavy tkaniny je zaveden parametr závislý na počátečních datech tkaniny. Nakonec je studována deformace dvou sérií bavlněných tkanin metodu zpracování obrazu, je zkoumaná existence limitní dostavy osnovy nebo útku ve tkanině a je porovnávána s teoretickými hodnotami.
