Original language description
Area variation curve and semivariograms are statistical functions, which can be used for objective description of surface unevenness. Image of fabric converted into grey scale is divided into square fields and variation of greyness degree depending on area of squared field is observed. Obtained values are used for construction of area variance curve. One-half average squared difference between average greyness degree in the squared fields remote from each other of pre-defined distance is used for semivariograms. In this work the fabrics with various weaves and quality (normal fabric and fabric with stripiness) were used. Fabrics are scanned to their image to be obtained. Area variation curves and semivariograms are constructed by means of special program created by J. Militky. Influence of fabric weave and quality on the course of both types of curves was studied.
