Woven fabric surface unevenness - new possibilities of its evaluation
Original language description
The evaluation of surface unevenness of plain fabrics is done the most often subjectively by means of visual judgment of their appearance. An area variation curve and semivariograms are statistical functions, which can be used for surface unevenness objective description. Plain textiles unevenness is converted into unevenness of coloration, which is interpreted by various intensity of grey. An image of fabric, converted into grey scale, is divided into square fields and greyness degree variation depending on squared field area is observed. Obtained values are used for the construction of area variance curve and semivariograms. The fabrics of various weaves and quality have been used for experiment. It has been found out that the combination of semivariograms in the direction of columns and rows is suitable for recording fabric stripiness. This work continues authors? previous works and extends experimental piece of knowledge about behaviour of the area variation curve and semivariogram
