Prediction of hybrid fabrics electromagnetic shielding
Original language description
The evaluation of electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency needs to use special devices. Simpler are measurements of volume resistivity or reciprocal values of electric conductivity. It is known from theory that at sufficiently high frequenciesit is possible to measure characteristics of electrical part of electromagnetic field only and therefore it should be direct relation between total shielding effectiveness ST [dB] and fabric resistivity. Some protection against electromagnetic waves is now required for textile structures designated for daily use. In this case the electric conductivity of textile materials is relatively low and some relations have local validity only.
