Original language description
The electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency needs to use special devices. Simpler are measurements of surface or volume resistivity. It is known from theory that at sufficiently high frequencies in is possible to measure characteristics of electrical part of electromagnetic field only and therefore it should be mathematical relation between total shielding effectiveness ST [dB] and fabric resistivity or conductivity. Some protection against electromagnetic waves is now required for textile structures designated for daily use. In this case the electric conductivity of textile materials is relatively low and some relations have local validity only. The main aim of this work is investigation the form of relation between resistivity and total shielding effectiveness ST for special types of fabrics with low portion of conductive phase.
