Innovations in the field of technical textile

Original language description

Technical textiles are classically characterized by theirs special properties (electrically conductive, heat resistive, antimicrobial, antistatic, super absorbents etc.). In the first part of this paper the main area of technical textiles applications are discussed with the focus on special structures and nano materials. The basic ways of development in this field are shown. The second part is devoted to the selected activities of TUL connected with technical textiles. These activities are divided intofollowing groups: optimum designs of technical textiles, textile sensors and sensors for textiles and new textile structures for technical applications. The typical results in the above mentioned groups are briefly described.
