Observation of Photocatalysis on Textiles by COD Method
Original language description
Heterogeneous photocatalysis is a new promising alternative method of removing of organic compounds especially from water by using an irradiated dispersion of titanium dioxide. The article is described photodegradation of ?-D-Glucose in aqueous solutionwith titanium dioxide, wich it is photoactive. The degradation is identified with help COD (chemical oxygen demand) method. Tests were performed with a suspension and with a textile substrate (polyacrylonitrile). On the textile substrate was fixated titanium dioxide with sol-gel method. Results showed the success of test methods.
