INFLUENCE OF KNITTING BASALT REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE ON THREE POINT BENDING TEST RESULT
Original language description
The knitting fabric was some convenient properties over woven fabrics. The production of knitted fabric is faster and cheaper than woven fabric. They have better surge withstand capability because the energy absorption is better. The composite matrix should correspond with reinforcement to utilize better behavior. It is why; we were tested mechanical properties of different matrix materials with knitted basalt reinforcement. Two layers composites were processed by hand-made lamination. The basalt knitting with row density 40/10 cm and column density 50/10 cm was used as reinforcement. The perpendicular orientation of two reinforcement layers was used. The polyester and epoxy resin was used as matrix material. The three point bending test and subsequentmacroscopy of damaged samples was used for composite test. Different straining direction was used to find out different behavior during loading.
