PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF MICROPOROUS STRUCTURES BASED ON CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE MODIFIED BY SILVER NANOPARTICLES

  • Original language description

Presentation at XXIII IFATCC International Congress, 2013, Budapest. Work is focused on carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as a notable polymer produced by an easy reaction of cellulose with chloroacetic acid. The most important feature is the viscosity of the CMC structure and flocculation. In this study is presented a method of preparation of porous-structured material based on CMC modified by silver nanoparticles. This special homogeneous pore structure is prepared by freeze drying. Freeze drying is process by which water (and other solvents) are removed from a frozen material by sublimation and processes: freezing, primary drying (sublimation), and secondary drying (desorption).
