EFFECT OF FINISHING PROCESS ON PLIED COMPACT AND CONVENTIONAL RING SPUN YARN PROPERTIES
Original language description
This work deals with the effect of finishing process on the properties of cotton ring and compact triple plied yarns of 9.8 tex (Ne 60) at different levels of single and plied twist. Singing was applied only for conventional ring spun. It was found thatthe properties of compact yarns have Higher mechanical properties before and after applying finishing process even the relative improvement in the conventional ring yarn properties was higher. The hairiness of finished compact yarn (not singed) was better compared to the conventional singed ring spun yarn. A graphical method was used to find the range of single and ply twist to be inserted to fulfill some given properties such as strength, elongation, irregularity and hairiness (feasible region).
