Nowadays it is increasingly popular to design clothing with the aid of a 3D computer programme.This paper introduces the formation of 2D corsetry patterns with the aid of DesignConcept3D. As input data there was used a scan of a mannequin female body. Two fabrics of corset products were used to test on the created model solution of the corset. Input data of the fabric to the 3D software were obtained by measuring with the KES-FB1 device. After application of the mechanical properties of the various fabrics, pattern parts were modified, based on the stretch of the fabric. There was also evaluated 3D visualization of these models to show in the current display of the pressure, strain, compression, tension and the elongation related to the selected material. The results of this experiment describe a predictive method of the 2D pattern shapes generation of the well-fitting corsets using the 3D software.
