COMFORT OF CALENDERED WOOLEN FABRICS IN WET STATE
Original language description
Thermophysiological comfort is an essence factor of construction of garment, especially sportswear. However, a formal type of suits unable using special functional material or construction elements. Fabrics for suits can be limitedly modified only in field of material, pattern or finishing. This study is focused rnon evaluation of influence of calendering and pattern on chosen thermophysiological properties. The set of woolen fabrics with a different pattern and a level of calendering was tested in dryand wet state. Interesting trend of air permeability was observed due to reaching different degrees rnof moisture content in tested samples. Wetting of samples simulates various real conditions as sweating or raining. Testing of wet samples enables to study complete behaviour of finished fabrics influenced by a various moisture content. Observed trends were summarized. Finally a high correlation between measured comfort properties in wet state was found.
