AIR PERMEABILITY OF CALENDERED MIXTURED WOOLEN WEAVES
Original language description
A comfort feeling involves many parameters however some of them are very subjective and cannot be influenced. For the thermophysiological part of comfort the heat and moisture transport in a body-clothing system is determining. This transport can be evaluated in many ways. One of the most representative parameters of thermophysiological comfort is the air permeability. Higher air permeability increases convection between garment and human body and thus it improves transport of moisture and heat. In sports-wear the ventilation is sucessfully enhanced by using special construction elements however there are types of clothing which are subject to social conventions and unable using free construction elements. A difference between less or hither permeabletextile can lead into disability or ability of clothing to transport amount of sweat produced by a light working activity. In this study the set of woolen plain fabrics with a different level of calendering was tested in dry and wet state
