Radiation Distribution characterization of Fluorescent Dyed Polyester Fabrics at 633 nm Wavelength
Original language description
It is an attempt to investigate the uniformity of transmitted optical energy of woven fabrics. There are two types of fabrics: one is the spun-dyed fluorescent polyester fabric (SDF) which is dyed during the filament spinning process, another is the polyester fluorescent dyed fabric (FDF). The radiation is generated by a collimated LED in red color and at 633 nm wavelength. All samples are scanned in rows and columns, the corresponding light intensity and optical energy are investigated by lux meter andpower meter, respectively. The results indicate that the introduction of fabric could reduce the output intensity and power, but increase their distributions. The best result of uniformity of light transmission is observed in SDF.
