    Thermal Insulation property of fabrics is important for providing thermal comfort and protection to human body. Generally the fabric property is a function of fabric structure and yarn properties. Whereas the role of fabric structure on its thermal insulation property has been studied. But it is difficult to say about the thermal conductivity of yarns which are the components of fabric. The most commonly used yarns in woven and knitted fabrics are ring and rotor produced yarn from cotton and polyester.The aim of the study is to understand the role of yarn structure and few related parameters such as fiber material and count on the thermal conductivity of yarn. Yarn made of 100% cotton staple fiber is used in our research. The yarn produced with different linear densities on ring and rotor machines. The effect of yarn radius, irregularity and structure of rotor and ring yarns on the thermal conductivity along the transverse direction will be studied. Thermal conductivity of yarn will b
