The article aims to show to understand the mechanism and actual drift that facilitate and prevent the internationalisation of SMEs in European Union. In introduction of the paper is presented the actual trends in relation between SMEs and globalisation.In second part is focused on pivotal aspects to internationalisation of SMEs including the analyses both main barriers and present situation of policies to support the internationalisation of SMEs. The problematic area is stated as identify existing policies that encourage and support SMEs and provide recommendations on how public policies can support SMEs efforts to achieve international growth. Conclusion of this article is that determine the proposals and actions which lead to elaboration in international internationalisation. The supposition included in the article is stated for existence close relation between innovative ability and others aspects of SMEs and internationalisation.
