Hysteresis in flow through porous media

Result description

Porous media flow is described by a class of PDEs whose model equation is represented by the Richards equation with soil-moisture hysteresis term. We assume that the hysteresis is represented by the Preisach hysteresis operator. Under suitable assumptions on the hysteresis operator we investigate the existence of the solution of our problem.
