Original language description
Several insect pests can seriously affect growth and development of faba bean in the natural conditions of the Czech Republic. Among them especially imagoes and larvae of pea leaf weevil (Sitona lineatus L.), black bean aphid (Aphis fabae Scopoli), pea and bean thrips and broadbean weevil (Bruchus rufimanus Boheman) are important. The sum of the only harmful effects caused by these pests then leads to the negative changes in growth and development of the crop, whereof consequence is a decrease in some characteristics (number of pods per 1 plant, number of seeds per 1 plant, number of fructiferous floors occupied with pods per 1 plant, proportion of big seeds in harvested production, whole crop height etc.) and in a general seed production and its quality too. From the recorded results of small-field trials is obvious that certain contribution for solving the problem could bring in seed dressing with highly systemic neonicotinoid active ingredients.

V podmínkách České republiky mohou někteří hmyzí škůdci vážně narušit růst a vývoj bobu obecného. Obzvláště imága a larvy listopasa čárkovaného (Sitona lineatus L.), mšice maková (Aphis fabae Scopoli), třásněnky a zrnokaz bobový (Bruchus rufimanus Boheman). Následkem jejich působení je pokles některých růstových a výnosových parametrů bobu.
