The impact of selected green manure catch crops on the soil structure was analyzed in field trials (1999-2005) at different periods since they were ploughed. For evaluation the soil structure coefficients were applied. The structural stages of soils werefound to be strongly dependent on the soil kind at the experimental site, as well as on the weather conditions bvefore sampling. At the 35 years long lasting field experiments the impact of catch crops use (like white mustard, phacelia) was evaluated inthe combination with the straw ploughed down in the cereals monocultures from the point of view of the soil humus content and quality.

Czech description
V polních pokusech zakládaných v letech 199-2005 byl zjištěn pozitivní effekt meziplodin na zelené hnojení na hodnoty koeficientu struktury půdy ve srovnání s variantami bez meziplodin. V dlouhodobém pokusu (35 let) se projevil pozitivní vliv použití meziplodin na obsah humusu a jeho kvalitu.
