High-Level Workshop on Resilience
Original language description
The Institute of International Relations along with the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs organized a two-day high-level closed conference on the very current issue of resilience. The Prague event welcomed the biggest experts on this issue from both the public and the research sphere from a number of countries (the US, Finland, Sweden, Israel, Moldova, Ukraine…), and representatives of organizations such as NATO (RADM Pete Gumataotao, ACT NATO; H.E. Piritta Asunmaa, the Mission of Finland to NATO), the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (Matthew Rhodes), and the European Union (Sandro Calaresu, the European External Action Service). The aim was to shift the understanding of the concept of resilience in the framework of NATO activities, share experiences and propose the most effective way to organically include the concept of resilience in international and Alliance cooperation.
