  • Original language description

    The paper deals with static and dynamic analyses of design of Lamella carriage for Lathes using Finite element method. Lamella carriage takes advantage of lamellas, which have relatively small thickness but a great stiffness in perpendicular directions.The lamella carriage performs the same functions as a classical carriage, but has much greater stiffness and thus higher accuracy during operation. The greater stiffness also improves its dymamic properties. The next important advantage is that a cuttingtool can reach any narrow and deep radial cuttings without any problems.
