The Frame Transmitting Constructional Elements (columns, beds, headstocks, etc.) have to transmit loading, position or movement within the framework of the technical product &#8211; technical object system. Knowledge of the required properties of the Frame Transmitting Constructional Elements and their relationships are needed for the evaluation of the variants and for the selection of an optimal variant. The properties and their relationships have been established by using the latest knowledge of production machines and the theory of properties, which is a part of the theory of technical systems. We can distinguish two basic kinds of Frame Transmitting Constructional Elements, i.e. fixed and moving, and their required properties can differ.
