The paper will present a redesign and evaluation of properties of universal milling equipment for a portal machine, which is appointed for HSC (High Speed Cutting). Regarding high speeds of feeds, which arise by HSC, the dynamic loading of the equipme ntis big and deformations from it are considerable, and further the demands for power of feed drives are higher. Therefore the minimization of equipment mass is necessary.
